Start with closed shoes
Wear secure closed-toe shoes you can walk or jog in. A launch may involve uneven ground, and footwear matters more than dressing for a perfect vacation photo.
Bring a light layer
Medellín can feel warm in the city while a higher launch area feels cooler, windier or cloudier. A light jacket or long-sleeve layer is useful, especially if you tend to get cold.
Keep loose items simple
Sunglasses can be useful, but secure anything you would hate to lose. Ask the operator about phones, cameras and selfie sticks rather than assuming you can hold equipment during takeoff.
Dress for the whole outing
Remember the experience includes ground time, transport and waiting as well as the flight. Comfortable clothes, sunscreen and a small amount of water are usually more useful than specialized adventure gear.
